Ifeyinwa Arinze is a filmmaker from Nigeria, based in New York City. Her work centers intimate portrayals of Black women and girls that are grounded in tenderness and care. Named a 2025 Berlinale Talent, her work has been supported by organizations like BAFTA, New York Foundation for the Arts, New York Women In Film and Television, Video Consortium, and the Film at Lincoln Center’s Artist Academy. Her short films have screened at Aspen Shortsfest, Palm Springs International Shortfest, BlackStar, Urbanworld, Indie Memphis, and the New York African Film Festival.

Her latest fiction short film, Breastmilk, an adaptation, will have its world premiere at the 2025 Clermont Ferrand International Short Film Festival.

Ifeyinwa is developing her debut feature film, Scruples. It was selected for the 2025 Berlinale Talent Script Station and the 2024 Cine Qua Non Script Revision Lab. It was also a finalist for the 2023 SFFILM RANIN grant. Ifeyinwa holds an MFA degree in Film Production from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. She earned a BFA in Neuroscience from Mount Holyoke College, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Ifeyinwa is a 2024 Princess Grace Award winner.
